Last night's full moon was the largest in more than 18 years. Called a "Perigee Moon," the full moon on March 19, 2011 was 221,565 miles (356,575 kilometers) away from Earth (the closest point) just 50 minutes after it hit its full phase... A rare occurrence (every 18 years). I'll be 54 by the time this happens again. I'm glad I got to see it this time around!
