Last night Phish took the stage for the highly anticipated Vermont Flood Benefit show at the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex, Vermont. Before the show bassist Mike Gordon came out to welcome 12,000 plus fans and to thank them for their support. Before leaving the stage he said the band was "pumped" to be playing at home. Then Mike introduced the Governor of Vermont Peter Shumlin who fired up the crowd for what was about to take place....
Fifteen minutes later the band took the stage with huge smiles on their faces to the roaring crowd. With a small wave Trey strapped on his guitar and away they went...
